The panel will examine security, political, and economic events in
Georgia over the past year highlighting the many successes since the
Rose Revolution as well as obstacles that remain for Georgia to continue
to strengthen its political system, bolster its economic development,
and solidify its place in the Euro-Atlantic community.  Ambassador David
Smith is the Chairman of the Georgia Forum and U.S. representative to
the International Security Advisory Board for Georgia.  He is also the
Chief Operating Officer of the National Institute for Public Policy in
Fairfax, Virginia.

Dr. Cory Welt is a fellow in the Russia and Eurasia Program at the
Center for Strategic and International Studies.  His research and
teaching interests include internal war and ethnic conflict, conflict
resolution, democratization and regime change, and issues of politics,
political economy, and state building in the Caucasus and Central Asia.
He received his Ph.D. in political science from MIT in 2004.

Dr. Lincoln Mitchell served as Chief of Party of the National
Democratic Institute's Georgia office from 2002-2004.  In addition, he
was responsible for NDI's political party, parliamentary and coalition
building programs in Georgia.  He earned his Ph.D. from Columbia
University in political science in 1996.

Ambassador Revaz Adamia is the Permanent Representative of Georgia to
the United Nations and formerly the Chairman of the Committee on
Security and Defense in the Georgian Parliament.

Mr. Ross Harrison is the Executive Vice President of Tapco
International, a group of companies dominant in the decorative building
products sector worldwide. He is an adjunct professor of political
science at the University of Pittsburgh, and beginning in January will
teach a graduate course on business operations in emerging markets for
the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University.
