Robert Moran

Vice President, Halliburton Company

Mr. Moran was named Vice President of Halliburton's Government Affairs Office in June of 2008. Prior to joining Halliburton in 2006 as Director for Government Affairs, he served as Washington Representative for the American Petroleum Institute from 2001 to 2005 and was Director of Government Affairs for the National Ocean Industries Association from 1991 to 2001.

Prior to his work at NOIA representing the offshore energy industry, Mr. Moran held positions in several organizations dealing with maritime policy matters including Government Relations Representative for the National Fisheries Institute, National Coordinator for the National Council of Fishing Vessel Safety and Insurance, and project consultant for the International Marina Institute.

He currently serves as chairman of the Petroleum Equipment Suppliers Association's Government Relations Committee. He is also a founding Board member of the North American Carbon Capture and Storage Association. He also holds positions on the Board of Directors for several other prominent Washington, DC-based trade associations including the National Foreign Trade Council, the Coalition for Employment through Exports, the International Business-Government Counselors, the Executive Council on Diplomacy, the US-Algerian Business Council, the US Kazakhstan Business Association, the US Libya Business Association and the Business Industry Political Action Committee.

From 2003-2006, Moran was selected to serve on the Department of Commerce's Federal Advisory Committee on Marine Protected Areas. In 2001, he was the recipient of the Department of Interior Minerals Management Service's Corporate Leadership Award. Mr. Moran received a bachelor's degree in marine biology and chemistry from the University of Miami.
