Personal Development and Community Involvement Programs
Living in Washington, the trainees are exposed to American policy-making and obtain a better understanding of bilateral relations between the U.S. and Azerbaijan. In addition, they also exposed to American culture, traditions, and lifestyle.
While living and working in the United States the trainees engage with:
- The American community through community and volunteer activities, including projects with American families who have adopted children from Azerbaijan; students who take Azerbaijani language classes at USACC; universities and student organizations interested in international affairs.
- The Azerbaijani community in the United States in celebrating national holidays, organizing Azerbaijan-related events with student organizations at universities, participating in international festivals, exhibitions and conferences and representing their country.
- The international community living in Washington such as the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, Embassies and organizations of foreign countries in Washington and involving them in activities of the Azerbaijan Trade and Cultural Center (arts and carpet exhibitions, language classes, concerts, etc.)
