Azerbaijan 's First Wind Power Station to Be Built in the Julfa District

Azerbaijan's first wind power station will be built in the Julfa district of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic in Azerbaijan, according to Azerenergy JSC, Turan reported on Friday. This will be an experimental wind power station.

Yagub Eyyubov, First Vice Premier of the Government of Azerbaijan, chaired a field sitting of high-level experts of energy sector and instructed Azerenergy specialists to build the first experimental wind power station in Julfa district. He recommended Azerenergy to develop a report on possible construction of other wind-power stations and small hydro-electric power stations in the territory of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
