Shamkir Winemaking Plant Secures a Good Deal during Ganja Business Forum

A two-day regional business forum in Ganja has finished with a successful deal for the Shamkir Winemaking Plant. The enterprise signed a contract on the supply of 1.5 million bottles of Azerbaijan wine to Belarus during the exhibition organized within the forum, according to Turan news agency report.

Agajan Ahmedov, Head of the Secretariat of the State Program of Regional Social and Economic Development reported the forum highlighted the business opportunities of this region. The investors familiarized themselves with the capacity of the local enterprises.

Mr. Ahmedov said the next similar forum would be arranged in Mingechevir in November. It will concentrate on the lowland regions of the “Aran Economic Zone” of Azerbaijan. Soft loans of the National Enterprise Assistance Fund will be offered to the entrepreneurs during this forum.
