FDI and Domestic Investments Grow in 2004

The total capital investments in Azerbaijan's economy were AZM 17.6 trillion ($3.59 billion) during January - September, 2004. It exceeds the index of January-September 2003 by 45.3%, the State Statistics Committee reported.

Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) makes 76.0% ($2.7 billion), while domestic investments are 17.2% ($617 million) of the total investments.

Public investments grew to AZM 376 billion ($76.7million), 19.9% more compared to January-September 2003.

The population invested AZM 660 billion ($134 million), twice as much as the January-September 2003 index.
