Climate change, constraints on water resources, population growth, economic development, and changing consumption patterns are increasing the need for efficient and environmentally-conscious technologies in Azerbaijan and the Greater Caspian Region.

PPPs continue to grow in popularity as effective vehicles to provide modern irrigation services to farmers and agribusinesses. From simple management contracts to concession contracts, as well as emerging partnership structures, our experts will discuss current trends in PPP engagement in irrigation.

Creating stronger business environments through increased private sector knowledge and new technologies, coupled with government incentive mechanisms and support from international development organizations, can help to improve water use efficiency and instill more sustainable water management practices in Azerbaijan.

Who should participate?

  • Agribusinesses, farmers, and their associations
  • Government and public authorities
  • Project developers and managers
  • Agriculture and economic development consultants
