USACC raised $41K for the sponsorship of highly trained mine detection dogs for Azerbaijan

WASHINGTON D.C. – May 3. The United States-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce (USACC), in partnership with the Marshall Legacy Institute (MLI), the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the United States, hosted “The Voice of Orchid” Charity Concert at the Kennedy Center.

The program brought together 33 Azerbaijani musicians and performers featuring classical and contemporary Azerbaijani music. The USACC raised over $41K through ticket sales and donated the funding to the Marshall Legacy Institute for the sponsorship of two highly trained mine detection dogs for Azerbaijan.

The USACC has been partnering with the MLI and Azerbaijan’s Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) since 2021. Last year, the USACC raised funding for two lifesaving canines for Azerbaijan through generous donations from SilkWay West Airlines, PASHA Bank, Kapital Bank, and Anglo-Asian Mining PLC.
