Small and Medium Business Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan joins the USACC membership

USACC is pleased to announce that the Small and Medium Business Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (KOBIA) has joined the USACC's membership.

Established in 2017, KOBIA supports small and medium-sized businesses in Azerbaijan, providing them with the necessary business tools and resources. Strategically, KOBIA aims to increase SMEs' role in the national economy through achieving sustainability and competitiveness in the SME ecosystem. KOBIA renders its services through its headquarters in Baku and a network of SME development centers in the regions of Azerbaijan.

USACC and KOBIA have been partnering together since 2019. During this period, USACC and KOBIA jointly organized the following webinars and training programs for Azerbaijani SMEs: 

  • Web conference on "Azerbaijan's Economy amid the Global Pandemic: Reforms and Post-Pandemic Outlook.", April 30, 2020
  • "Hazard Analysis Critical Point (HACCP)" Training Course for food processors and manufacturers in Azerbaijan, June 28-29, 2021
  • Online briefing on "Generalized System of Preferences: What is GSP and how does it work?", September 7, 2021
  • Technology Month – A series of webinars on cutting-edge technologies designed for small and medium-sized businesses. The program developed by Rabalon LLC featured major American high-tech companies, such as Cisco, Microsoft, McAfee, Fortinet, Rapid 7, Veeam, VMware, Palo Alto Networks, Dell Technologies, and ManageEngine, December 2021
  • Online briefing on "Special American Business Internship Training (SABIT) – An industry-specific program designed for business leaders.", June 23, 2022
  • Roundtable discussion on the "Doing Business with Azerbaijan: Opportunities and incentive programs for American and Azerbaijani businesses.", July 6, 2022
